The Frankonia cable car was a cable car in Beierfeld used exclusively for freight transport. It connected the Zwönitz–Scheibenberg railway line with Frankonia AG, which was by far Beierfeld's largest industrial company at the time.

A loop from Grünhain via the Waschleithe (animal park/Heimateck/visitor mine) back to the Spiegelwald forest with its King Albert Tower. A very beautiful loop full of lush spring greenery, with fantastic weather and four or five open beer gardens along the route—what more could you want?

Showing Translation

It is best to follow the Fürstenrundweg, then you will stay more on forest paths and less on asphalt. You should definitely stop at the Spiegelwaldbaude. Here you can eat and drink delicious food.
