Estany Tort beach is located in the Baix Camp region, in the municipality of Ametlla de Mar, specifically in Cala Nova, between Cala del Llop Marí to the south and Xelin beach to the north. Space included within the terrestrial maritime public domain that hosts a small dune system and remains of an ancient coastal lagoon.

Activities
The beach is used exclusively for tourism, with an influx of visitors mainly in the summer months. Unlike other beaches in the municipality, that of Estany Tort does not have the European Blue Flag qualification, so it does not have an excess of services, but only a shower at the foot of the access ramp to beach

Natural values:
From a natural point of view, the Estany Tort beach is one of the 5 beaches with the most natural values of the more than 25 in the municipality. In this sense, it presents three habitats of community interest, the first of which is a priority:
- Old coastal lagoon: in the past there was an irregular body of water at the back of the cove. Currently, this wetland area can only be sensed by the presence of swamp vegetation, as it is completely filled with sediments and organic matter. This type of lagoon is a habitat of priority community interest for the European Union (Code 1150).
- Dunes with natural vegetation: Despite their modest extension, of around 400 m2, the dunes on the Estany Tort beach are the most extensive in the entire municipality of Ametlla de Mar. These are moving dunes with sandpiper communities (Ammophila arenaria) of the sandy beaches, habitats of community interest (Code 2120 of the ).
- Coastal maquis and pine forests: The Estany Tort beach is surrounded by pine forests of white pine (Pinus halepensis) with an undergrowth of maquis with ullastre (Olea europaea) and margallon (Chamaerops humilis), habitat of community interest (Code 9540) .

Cala Mosques

Highlight • Beach

Cove located near the urbanization of Les Tres Cales, with areas of sand and pebbles and easy access to the water. It has parking, a bar and showers and the level of occupancy is usually low.

Close to the urbanization of Les Tres Cales, this small beach, just over 25 meters long and 20 meters wide, constitutes a unique landscape enclave. Surrounded by white pines, it forms a bay in which the waters do not exceed six meters in depth. This allows it to be considered a wet area.

Despite the proximity of the urbanization, the expanse of golden sand, pebbles and rocky formations of Cala Mosques has a low degree of occupation. It has a parking area, showers and a cafeteria. The waters, which are accessed by means of a slight slope, are a common passage for divers and spearfishers in the Punta Galera area. It is also frequented by kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts. For the practice of sailing and nautical activities, the visitor can also easily access the nautical club in the Calafat urbanization, just two kilometers away.

Cala Forn Beach

Beach, with fine sand, located under the remains of the castle of Sant Jordi d'Alfama. It can be accessed by car and has a bar, surveillance service, showers and toilets. The entrance to the sea is not very pronounced.
Cala Forn is a fairly wide and square beach, which extends over 80 meters in length and 80 meters in width. It has a composition of fine and golden sand and the waters, whose entry is not difficult due to the low degree of slope, are often moderately choppy. Access on foot is easy, by means of an asphalt road. You can also get there by car, as it has parking.
It has numerous services: signage and first aid and rescue service, showers, portable bathrooms and refreshments and ice cream kiosk. These last two services are available only during the summer season.
Aside from the natural interest of the surroundings, which are mainly populated by pine forests, Cala Forn also enjoys another scenic and heritage attraction: it is located in the area dominated by the remains of the castle of Sant Jordi d'Alfama. It is a fort from the 17th century, which was built on top of a medieval fortification from the 12th century.

Xelin Beach

Highlight • Beach

Beach close to the Les Tres Cales urbanization, which can be reached both by car and on foot along the path. It is surrounded by pines and made up of pebbles and areas of rocks. It has a shower service.

Xelin beach is one of the busiest on the Ametlla de Mar coastline. Both the attractive surroundings and the accessibility both on foot and by car from the Les Tres Cales urbanization contribute to its popularity. It is a beach 120 meters long and 20 meters wide, surrounded by pine forests and bushes and made up mainly of a combination of pebbles and small rocks, which is reached by a fairly steep ramp. It presents a moderate swell without much difficulty in access. It has a shower service.

It is worth noting the interest of its seabed, a great attraction for scuba diving. It is easy to find interesting rock formations, posidonia colonies and abundant young fish gills. Sports fishing also has a prominent place in this cove. It is part of the inshore fishing route that joins this cove with the Mosques cove.

Finally, for lovers of hiking and flat-footed excursions, it is noteworthy that this cove is part of the GR 92 Mediterranean route on the route between Hospitalet de l'Infant and the municipality of Ametlla de Mar itself.

Llop Marí Cove and Cave

Highlight • Cave

As its name indicates, this cove hides a picturesque cavity in the rock that has been the source of legends. One of them says that the Llop Marí (sea wolf) hides here, a mythological animal that was supposed to attack the pirates who were hiding in the cave.
In summer, the cove and its cave are so attractive and popular that it is necessary to reserve access.
