View of the Baltic Sea

Highlight • Viewpoint

Actually you are not allowed to ride a bike here. But if you do not drive so fast and are nice to the people then nobody says anything. Then you have a breathtaking view from there.

Cliff Coast Near Rettin

Highlight • Gorge

In addition to the steep bank itself, the view across the bay to the Mecklenburg coast from here is very attractive and more productive than from the deeper Lübeck Bay (e.g. Scharbeutz).

August 31, 2024,Dahme-Grömitz-Pelzerhaken und toröch
@At sunrise, my better half started a privately organized marathon on the beach promenade in Dahme... and enjoyed the morning idyll😊
In the early afternoon, we cycled along a nice flat mini-dyke towards Grömitz.
As the "Baltic Sea was on fire" this weekend, it was quite busy here, so we quickly left Grömitz behind us and continued along the cliffs …

We didn't stress ourselves out. In total it was 6 hours with breaks and walking in Grömitz and Kellenhusen without a bike.

Visited acquaintances at the campsite, unfortunately the tour was very windy, but thanks to electricity it was bearable.

Finally back at the Baltic Sea ⛱️🌞

That was a lovely first bike ride along the coast.
We really liked Grömitz and Kellenhusen with their piers 😃👍

With today's changeable weather, I decided to end the trip. After just a few hundred meters, it started to rain heavily. So I turned around and didn't really want to drive off. But shortly afterwards, the sun beckoned again! So I tried again. It took me via Grömitz, further along the dam to Dahme. Shortly after Dahme, I decided to …

The longest route went directly along the Baltic Sea with a constant view of the sea.
From Bliesdorf Strand to Grömitz, the tour went into the hilly interior, which was also very nice.
Longer stretches of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route were car-free. Luckily I had saved the Komoot map, because the signage for such a cycle path could be …

The tour went past the Baltic Sea today, first to Grömitz with a visit to the pier, then past Kellenhusen, to Dahme to the lighthouse, there again visited a pier and strolled past something on the promenade. On the way back we stopped at Cismar Monastery😃
