Great hike, but unfortunately, the trail continues on asphalt and gravel towards the Oytalhaus. Due to the rain during the night, the beginning was incredibly slippery, and we were close to giving up. But somehow we persevered. A few nice little scrambles (mostly with crampons), relaxing marmots, and great views were the reward! Wear sturdy shoes, please! A head for …

My mountain tour leads from the Höfatsblick mountain station on the most beautiful high-altitude trails over the Laufbacher Eck to the Himmelecksattel, then over the Himmeleck up to the two Schneck peaks and is suitable for mountaineers in good physical condition.

The tour on the Schneck is an absolute experience.

The really difficult parts …

But as I walked, I gained confidence. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are required in any case. There are steps and ropes in the really difficult …
