Beautiful mountain lake with restaurants and a small swimming pool with a kiosk. Can also be reached by car and is accordingly highly frequented, but definitely worth a detour.

The Königsstand is a beautiful tour destination in Garmisch-Partenkirchen - not a summit, but a beautiful plateau with the best views of the valley 🤩
The path up leads past the St. Martin mountain inn through the woods. Here the hiking trail winds its way up in many bends over hill and dale to the highest point of the hike …

In this version I have removed the outlier in the recording.

....it was said: a box seat with a majestic view
...and so it was!
King Max II had it built as a bridle path.
Narrow paths along the edge of the cliff, but not particularly dangerous, with a great view and perfect hiking weather.

Nice tour with great views of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and all the mountain ranges in the area.
The Kaserschmarrn am See at the end of the tour tasted wonderful!

However, the climb on the T3 path should be enjoyed with caution. Narrow as a towel along the steep slope, it looks more like a game crossing and …

Unfortunately we had to interrupt the tour at the Kramersteig. It snowed recently and the path went over an icy slab that was a good candidate for an avalanche and we didn't dare cross it. It's a shame, the other side was definitely doable. 😬

Showing Translation

Very nice tour.

It is recommended to add another 2 hours (there and back) and climb to the Kramerspitz if you are fit enough.
