The 23rd edition of the Glückauf Hike ⚒ took place today. In somewhat cool temperatures 🌬, the hiking groups set off from Lugau, Oelsnitz, and Gersdorf. Their destination was the tower on the Deutschlandschachthalde mine, where plenty of food 🌭 and drink 🍻 were provided. The event was rounded off with a concert by the Oelsnitz brass band 🎺🎷🎸🥁.

Quickly used a rain break and hiked to the observation tower of the Deutschlandschacht-Halde. With a little 🌞 from above, from the tower, there was a good view from the cloud factory near Leipzig to the Augustusburg. Only the paths were sometimes a bit "fluid" 🌊

Today's Sunday hike took us over the equator 🤣 to the Deutschlandschacht dump ⚒. On the way home we passed the current storage area for the Ida shaft. Unfortunately, an overzealous farmer 🚜 ploughed the field and the path between Plutostrasse and the shaft ponds fell victim 😢.
