Today we thought we would do the newly opened hiking trail, the so-called Raubrittersteig. We haven't found out why the name. But it is a very nice hike for everyone on easy-to-walk paths past Ranis Castle and Brandenstein. Despite the bad weather, it was a wonderful hike.

Today we hiked on the recently opened robber barons' trail from Krölpa past the bison enclosure to Ranis. Here is a short detour to the castle (it wasn't on the tour). The tour is very well signposted on easy-to-walk paths.
Back through Ludwigshof and on to the baroque castle in Brandenstein.
We weren't attacked, the robber barons are extinct. 😁🙋‍♂️
