Old Fishmongers' Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

There are many bridges in Girona. In addition to the stone bridges, the Pont de Pedra and the Pont d’en Gómez, the Pont de Peixateries Velles immediately catches the eye. With its numerous red struts and metal construction, it is reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. And that's not that far-fetched, because the bridge was designed by Eiffel himself.

Today we tried out the Spanish train 🚉 and traveled from our place Malgrat de Mar from a little rain to Girona in the sun. It's direct and uncomplicated 😊 and not that expensive (return ticket per person €9.80).
Girona is known for its old town from the Middle Ages, the remains of a Roman fortress and the old city …

Unfortunately a thunderstorm came and the rain didn't stop ⛈️😅
