Borlänge is not only the largest city in the Dalarna province, but actually more known as an industrial city and not necessarily as a hiking destination.

But there is a pretty hidden pearl at the gates of Borlänges - about 20 minutes by car from the center: The Gyllbergen nature reserve, 1,200 hectares, in winter an Eldorado for cross-country skiers …

Without the Komootler @COUCHFLUCHT we probably would never have gotten on this tour or the Gyllenbergen nature reserve. While Borlänge isn't exactly a pretty town, the bog reserve is definitely rewarding. Unfortunately it poured cats and dogs before and during our hike. Nevertheless, it was a nice round.
