Hirschensprung Gorge

Highlight • Gorge

Interesting and surprising breakthrough in the rock, practically in the middle of the valley. Impressively narrow. 😁

At the site of the former Kobelwies bath there is now a bathtub that has been converted into a drinking water fountain. Those who are brave enough to sit in the cool water on hot summer days... ;-)

At this border crossing there is usually relatively little going on and you can cross the Rhine bridge to Switzerland, or vice versa, to Austria, from where easy-to-use paths continue along the Rhine or inland.

Here is the Rhine, here it may appear.... mostly it looks like the Mitteland Canal with current. But every now and then attempts are made to correct the straightening bullshit

Very good bike path on the crest of the dam, perfect surface, wide, enough space to overtake. There are many road cyclists here. From this side you have a great …

Road bike vs gravel bike, ridden with gravel bike on 09/24/23. The headwind felt a bit more today, but on both days it was exactly 136W average power. The weight of the bikes including accessories are pretty much the same, but with the same performance it takes about 10 minutes. Difference💪😅 what a tire and finer gear jumps make😉🤣
