April 15, 2025,Advanced to the Next Level
Well, I finally bought some big boy shoes and put on my clipless pedals. I feel like I have advanced to the next level! I had these pedals from 12 years ago on another bike and finally decided to take the next step on them. 🫣 It actually felt really good. 😁
Jeff and I sought out the gravel portions of a favorite route. Probably half of today's ride was gravel. My 2" tires performed well. What fun! 🥰

Jeff and Skip enjoyed a beautiful day which included lunch at Jersey Mike's. Great ride!
Today I wasn't feeling it, but got out and rode anyway. It had just stopped raining and the skies cleared but the winds were gusting at 25mph. Fearing a wet trail, I got out my old Trek Dual Sport and rode straight from the house to the greenway (12.5 miles entire trip). I am proud of myself for pushing through …
This ride was planned to include more territory but a hill at the end of this route shown kicked my butt. Had to return to base. I'll try again in a few days. 🥰
