Southwold Market Place and Adnams Brewery

Highlight • Rest Area

Beautiful, if slightly overrun, historic fishing port and now a chi-chi resort full of second homes. Still very appealing though, with lovely historic streets and buildings, not to mention the Adnams Brewery.

Laxfield Village

Highlight • Settlement

This small ancient village is a wonderful place to stop on your cycle. You must visit The King's Head pub which is famous for its unchanging interior with rooms that haven't seen significant updates in centuries.

View of Blyth Marshes

Highlight • Natural

Great section of gravel track that takes you from Southwold to Walberswick along the old rail line. During the busier months it can become very busy with other runners, walkers and cyclists.

Part of the old Southwold to Halesworth train line. If you follow the line towards Walbeswick you can still see remains of the station platform as the footpath leaves the line of the track.

The Harbour Inn Southwold

Highlight • Restaurant

Didn't stop for food or drink, so can't comment on the pub itself – but amazing to see how high the flood water came in 1953.
