August 31, 2024,Huntepadd – Glaner Braut Runde von Wildeshausen
After we started at the train station, we were quickly on a quiet hiking trail out of the city. Very good paths all the way, away from traffic. At KM 3.7 you should take the route via the motorway service station. After just under 11 km we had earned coffee and cake in Dötlingen. So the rest of the tour …

Once again we hiked along the Hunte from Wildeshausen to Dötlingen and back. The place is located in the Wildeshauser Geest nature park, nestled between forests, moors and heathland. The river Hunte, which is in its natural state on this stretch, meanders through the meadows and forms the Huntetal.

Today I hiked from Wildeshausen train station via Dötlingen back to Wildeshausen, about 3/4 on the beautiful, partly landscaped Huntepadd. In Dötlingen, the path leads past a café and a nice tourist restaurant, which had two stands outside with food and drinks.

Ever since the old year ended, the eight has been (accidentally) following me!
Another scary round today ...
It was nice to connect Wildeshausen with Dötlingen. However, and it was to be expected, the traffic junction Wildeshausen also has its traffic junction noises, that is to say, the motorway (more than the train traffic) has been heard. The path itself …

Today there was a beautiful tour from Wildeshausen with Meet5. I did the tour back in October and would do it again. The route is simply beautiful and highly recommended 🥾🤩

Starting from our hostel in the Wildeshauser Geest National Park, the truly idyllically located Hotel Gut Altona (gut-altona.de), we went through the forest, which was still misty in the morning, along the Hunte towards Dötlingen. The lush, intense green now in spring and the sun breaking through made the hiking trail along small streams and wetlands an experience. We really …

Another beautiful autumn day that strictly prohibited staying indoors! From Dötlingen to Wildeshausen and back. Very beautiful area there. We'll be back!

Today I tried a path to the right of the Hunte River, and up to Dötlingen, this path was significantly nicer than the Hunte Cycle Path. According to my tracker, the route should be 18.5 km.

Otherwise, Komoot and Garmin had serious connection issues today. So it looks like I hiked cross-country.
