Maggie Wall Witch Monument

Highlight • Monument

No-one knows whether the mysterious Maggie Wall really existed, but this monument, standing a mile or so outside the village, is a poignant reminder of the witches burned in Dunning during the 1600s.

View of Keltie Castle

Highlight • Historical Site

The views here are very nice, the contour of the land adds interest and makes for tranquil surroundings

St Paul's Church, Dunning

Highlight • Religious Site

I used St Pauls church as a starting point as there is decent parking on the street opposite. It is a relatively quiet area within close access to Dunning town centre. Dunning itself is a small village.

Valley Gravel Road

Highlight • Cycleway

This section takes some effort and determination to ride through. There was a strong headwind whilst climbing through the enclosed steep sided valley. The surface is good, firm and gravel.
