Nädligergrat Ridge Trail

Highlight • Trail

Yay... I finally dared to go over the Nädligergrat 😊.

I've often stood at the Flispunkt and looked at this ridge path... from there it looks pretty pointed and narrow 🙈.

A head for heights, sure-footedness and some fun scrambling is required on the blue/white marked path over the Jöchlisattel, Nädligergrat and on the ascent/descent to the Altmann

An early start wouldn't have been a bad idea today, but I finally got a good night's sleep and that was more important to me... I also really appreciate being able to start …

Once a year, I go to the Altmann. With my new camera in my bag, I'm taking pictures of the ibexes 🙃. I even managed to catch a linnet. I missed you @Schlafwanderer

Today I went to the Jöchliturm for the first time. It's super easy. The word "-turm" is totally misleading. It's not even remotely a tower. At most, it could be called a little hill... or a little ledge. 🤷🏼

I actually wanted to finally do the Nädligergrat today with Marko, Mandy, and Martina (saw: MMM😉) But unfortunately, the first two already had other plans. And Martina has already been there twice this week.😀
Well... that's life.🤷🏼

A head for heights is required on the blue/white marked path over the Jöchli and Nädliger and of course at the Altmann (T4)

Sorry for the many pictures and the long text, nobody has to feel forced to look at this 😉 and as always it is mainly a reminder for myself 😊

Today we went to the Toggenburger Land. The first meters in altitude are covered with the Gamplüt cable car. The path up to Jöchli and the ridge path to Nädinder are demanding. The view of the Säntis and the Altmann is remarkable. You can fortify yourself well for the descent at the Zwinglipass hut.

Great and strenuous hike on blue-white and red-white hiking trails. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are necessary. First we went steeply up to the Jöchlisattel, a sweaty affair 😅Afterwards over the beautiful Nädlingergrat with a wonderful view. Since we wanted to enjoy the view to the east, we then went up to the Altmasattel. Hey @Martina, I was very …
