The return journey took us past the Eschbach Cliffs, enjoying a panoramic view of the Feldberg, to the hiking café, which only comes to the parking lot on Sundays and offers homemade cakes.

Today we're off to the Taunus Mountains near Usingen-Eschbach. There are two rock formations there called Buchstein (Buchsteinfelsen) and Saienstein (Kaiser-Friedrich-Felsen). These rocks are widely known as the Eschbach Cliffs. The cliffs are the visible part of a 6-kilometer-long quartz vein. The up to twelve-meter-high cliffs are protected as a natural monument.

The cliffs are used by the Alpine Association for training purposes for alpine climbing and are known far beyond the region.
Today there wasn't much going on at the cliffs and so I was able to move around there undisturbed.
