Taking the Jagersteig up is nicer, has a better view and is not steeper than the marked path. The Jagersteig begins after the last tunnel, exactly where the crossing from the forest road to the
going down the bad path.

Kleiner Schönberg Summit

Highlight (Segment) • Summit

Difficult to walk in wet weather, as it is for the most part a root passage up to the top, also for children not so easy to handle.

Miesweg Trail at Lake Traunsee

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The most beautiful alpine path meanders at the foot of the Traunstein
Austria. Now it is accessible again - and we strongly recommend a trip to Gmunden

Today was a special day.
The inauguration of the new summit cross on the small Schönberg.
I had planned it so that I would arrive at the summit on time. However, the shared taxi at Traunsee didn't work (due to incorrect and/or poor communication between the control center and the taxi). It had already left before my train arrived.
So …

From the eastern shore of Traunsee, you can reach the small Schönberg in less than 2 hours – if there isn't still snow near the summit, as was the case for us today, then it will take a little longer. From up there, there is a fantastic view of the Traunstein across the Traunsee and to the peaks surrounding the …

The last part of the hiking trail has it all.
Very exposed.
Should normally have a black marking. Otherwise a very nice tour.
The time is about 4 hours for this round.

The round over the Kleinen Schönberg would have been better the wrong way - extremely steeper and more strenuous
Descent !!🥴

Very nice winter hike ☀️❄, but unfortunately my battery didn't last until the end. The way back was on the road through the tunnels.

No again today
Rain lap.🥾⛰🌧☔
We started with a bike from Altmünster along the Traunseestraße to the turning point. Then along the Miesweg along the shore. Once along the water, then climbing over rocks and stairs.
Then the forest road always up in the valley to the Moaralm. There gabs NEN nice roast pork, delicious. It was bearable in the …

A really nice hiking route that requires a bit of stamina.
The path on the banks of the Traunsee is slightly hidden. From the parking lot, take the narrow path between two properties. Looks like a private path, but actually leads to the shore and there you can walk and even swim.
