The house opposite the pharmacy was run by Philipp Heilweck as a general horse-changing station. In the middle of the 19th century, the station was upgraded because the carriages of the mail coaches were changed here. At that time there was an express connection between Speyer and Landau. At the end of the war the property was totally destroyed. The son-in-law Otto Renner used it to build what was then the Gasthaus zur Krone and continued to run it. Due to his age, he sold the property in 1960 to the Gertrud and Emil Keller family, who then continued to run the inn until the 1980s. Erich Keller then took over the property, the inn from his parents, which already had a fully automatic bowling alley, and converted it into today's "Zum Postillion" inn.
