Today's hike starts in Einöde (a district of Pfaffstätten) at the foot of the Anninger mountain. The routes leading up to the Anninger from here have been familiar to me since early childhood, so I decide to hike first to Gumpoldskirchen and take the (somewhat steeper and, to me, unfamiliar) ascent to the Anninger from there.
