Jahnatalweg Forest Path

Highlight • Trail

Not only the Elbtadweg is beautiful, but the small and narrow paths of the Jahnatalweg, natural, have a lot to offer. Sometimes young beavers build small dams in search of a new territory, but these have been dismantled by humans?¿

It wasn't exactly optimal weather for a bike tour, 🌧️ was forecast.
But I still took the 🚆 from Leisnig to Döbeln. The route is super nice to cycle 😀, unfortunately on the way back I had to battle strong 💨 from the front. But at least I arrived back at the station in Döbeln dry 😅.

A very scenic bike tour - a clear recommendation to follow. 😊

The Jahnatalweg is 35 kilometers long and forms the connection between the Mulde Cycle Path and the Elbe Cycle Path. A tourist circular route could arise from Riesa via Döbeln, Nossen, Lommatzsch, Meißen and …

It's rolling again and at its finest. Great bike paths and bike lanes. On to the Jahna Valley. The Jahna is a tributary to the left of the Elbe in Saxony. It rises near the village of Präbschütz east of Döbeln, flows through Ostrau and finally flows into the Elbe after about 30 km near Riesa.
A beautiful landscape. Forest …

Explore the hinterland on the Elbe again...
First up the Elbe against the wind, then a short steep climb in the direction of Schieritz Castle - another hidden gem, unfortunately not in the best condition.
Then on quiet side streets always along the Ketzerbach, through blossoming avenues of fruit trees (Castle No. 2) to the Schleinitzerhöhe - fantastic views. The …
