Of course we didn't want to miss Dinan with the most beautiful old town in Brittany. In order to do justice to the little dog, we went from the Rance to the city. The towpaths on both banks are ideal for hiking or walking.

My kids just loved the city. We weren't in the castle itself, we've just seen too many over the course of our vacation.

Today we went to the castle ruins of Lehon, which offer beautiful views. We then continued to the Abbay de Lehon, with its beautiful cloister. We then walked along the water to Dinan, a very pretty little town with old half-timbered houses, small studios, and lovely places to eat.

This hike through the tranquil Rance Valley to Lehon Abbey is truly worthwhile. At the end, we enjoy a view of the Rance and the valley below from above. Simply beautiful!
