The last Thursday of this autumn was mild and pleasant 🌤.

It led me to the easternmost corner of the Holzminden district, where the village of Ammensen, part of the municipality of Delligsen, lies in a valley between the Selter and Hils hills.

We followed the designated circular hike Del1, which takes you past the Köhlerhütte (Coalburner's Hut) and the Barbarakreuz (St. Barbara's Cross). Unfortunately, the route runs almost exclusively on wide paths, even asphalt in places. The area at the Barbarakreuz with the hut is beautifully landscaped!
