Playground at Museumshof Rahden-Kleinendorf

Highlight • Rest Area

The playground at the Museumshof in Rahden-Kleinendorf is probably the largest and most visited playground in the city.
An airplane made of tubular steel is a popular piece of play equipment. And that for decades. After extensive restoration, it can be used again.
The Kleinendorf village community made it possible with the support of numerous sponsors.

A lot of new playground equipment has been installed over the years. For example a mud plant. "It's really great," said some of the children. "You can play really well there." They especially liked the cable car.

Museumshof Rahden Open-Air Museum

Highlight • Historical Site

Rahden Museum is an open-air museum near Rahden Castle. In addition to the actual Museumshof there is a large green area with a great playground for the little ones.
From direction B239 a good cycle path leads to these green areas, which invite to a small cycling break. There is also a restaurant 'Am Museumshof', which is open from 16:00.

Schützenhaus Kleinendorf

Highlight • Rest Area

The clubhouse of the Kleinendorf rifle club from 1926 e.V. is located directly on the ruins of Rahden Castle. The castle ruins are therefore a main part of our coat of arms.

The foundation stone for the older construction phases was laid in 1961. In the next major construction project in 1993/94, the new toilet facilities and the shooting sports facilities were rebuilt.
In 2007, extensive renovations were carried out in the clubhouse. Major changes and modernizations were carried out here, especially in the area of our common room.

The owner of the Schützenhaus, the Schützenverein Kleinendorf, consists of many groups such as the women's groups, the individual shooting sports departments, the young shooters, the king's guard, the "old guard", the companies and our music groups.
Each group has its own leadership, which grows together through the board structures to form a whole.

In addition to many events such as the winter ball, the Kaisershooting and the village cup shooting, our shooting festival on the last weekend in June is the main festival of the year.
During the shooting festival on Sunday, the new regents for the new shooting year will be determined by shooting at the wooden eagle.

Here old traditions and customs of the place and the region are preserved.
Good cooperation with other clubs in the village creates a strong feeling of togetherness among the people of Kleinendorf.
Further information can be found on the association's homepage at sv-kleinendorf.de.

Since the summer of 2021 there has been a newly created and free parking space for 8 mobile homes.
The parking space is right next to the Museumshof, the "Gasthaus am Museumshof" and a boules pitch. A large playground, the outdoor and indoor pools and a bakery can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The parking space is an ideal starting point for cycling tours in a flat area and walks in the adjacent nature reserve "Große Aue".

The city center with shops, restaurants, café, ice cream parlor and cinema can be reached in about 10-15 minutes on foot.
