Small, somewhat hidden cave with two chambers. It once offered shelter to the robber Michael Heigl until his hiding place was discovered through treachery.

Windy day not so nice weather but still a wonderful day

After a rather nasty, unknown illness kept me out of action for the past few weeks, today I went for a short and not too strenuous forest bathing session to unwind 🥰.
It's actually unbelievable how much fitness can be improved in such a short time 👹.
Nevertheless, it was a wonderfully beautiful walk despite the diverse weather and light …

Wonderful hiking trail on the Goldsteig from start to finish.

Almost 3 months forced break, I tested my condition. At times I thought I had mutated into a walrus during this time. Clumsy and panting. But I consoled myself because I had forgotten my beloved sticks at home. Will be again :)

A very nice tour, past impressive rocks.
Thanks to Elke for the tour idea. 🤗👍

Nice hike near Bad Kötzting. We started at the Reitberg hiking car park, there weren't many people around - the weather must have been to blame. Great path with lots of opportunities to rest, surefootedness is required, very rocky with a few scrapes. Will definitely go again in better weather to enjoy the view.

Let's go (the voice of the KOMOOT GPS would say) from the REITENBERG hiking car park .. straight into the cooler forest .. the ascent to the cave of robber Michael Heigl has it all, hiking over partly smaller and larger rocks requires a bit more stamina and surefootedness anyway 😄 ... To be continued

Today we went with the junior from the Reitenberg car park to the Kreuzfelsen and then further to the Mittagstein. A few hundred metres further on, the Kötztinger Hut invites you to stop and rest.
