Easy walking along mostly well made paths farm tracks for Dyson Farming and quiet roads. Waymaking of public rights of way is good, as are signs marking private tracks.

Along the route are areas of wildlife habitat restoration.

The leg along the Carr Dyke feels remote. To the west are woods, to the east open fen with ruler straight drains …
