There are two main hiking trails in Kullaberg Nature Reserve: the red and the blue. The red trail runs along a long stretch of the southern coast, as seen here. As the terrain slopes down to the sea, you can enjoy breathtaking views almost the entire time while hiking, as is the case at this viewpoint.

Kullens Fyr Lighthouse

Highlight • Monument

Kullens Fyr is the brightest lighthouse in Scandinavia and stands 78.5 meters above sea level at the very tip of the Kullaberg Nature Reserve near Mölle.

Beacons have been operating at the northern entrance to the Öresund, one of the busiest waterways in the world, for over 1,000 years.

The current lighthouse was designed in 1898 by the architect Magnus Dahlander from Dalarna. The 15-meter-high Kullens Fyr is made of gneiss and bricks and was put into operation in 1900. The three large lenses of the light apparatus rotate four times a minute and emit three light signals per revolution.

The light signals can be seen from 50 kilometers away.

The lens apparatus must also rotate during the day (unlit), otherwise there is a risk that the lenses will act like large magnifying glasses and the incoming sunlight will cause fires.

July 9, 2025,🇸🇪 Runde von Mölle / Kullaberg Naturreservat - Kullens fyr
We took a detour to Sweden during our vacation in Denmark. We took the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg (journey time 20 minutes, check-in, check-out max. 40 minutes). It was absolutely hassle-free – download the Molslinjen app, book your tickets, and you're done. At the harbor, drive to the barrier – license plate recognition – enter/confirm the number of people …

For this tour you need to be a safe and secure walker.
Our second day of adventure in Sweden takes us to a disreputable region. We're traveling north of Helsingborg. On the way to the Kullaberg Nature Reserve, we pass through the small village of Mölle. Here, at the end of the 19th century, the first joint bathing of men and women resulted in a scandal. The place successfully mutated into a …

Well, unfortunately, my mobile phone battery gave up on me along the way. That's why the tour is saved in two parts.

A beautiful hike... not too long, with time to rest, chat, and enjoy...

We were also very lucky with the weather today: sunny (but not too hot), light breezes on both sides of Kullaberg, and pleasant shade from the trees.

Easy in the beginning and very hard in the end
Amazing hiking trip to Kullaberg - Mölle area in southwest Sweden. Intermediate difficulty. Be prepared with proper hiking boots and windstopper/rain jacket. The weather can chance quickly.
Plenty of well maintained toilets along the route and you can eat or have coffee in one of the Mölle's restaurants or coffee shops. Note though that most of them are closed during …

Magnificent rocky coast with rugged cliffs and small bays. Above it all is the photogenic, intact lighthouse.
Very varied with many hiking options.
