Coming from the parking lot you have to cross private property, practically a farm. But the owner has nothing against people crossing his property. Then you can walk the path in 2 directions. Option A is my recommendation. Although it goes down into the gorge via steep and slippery "stairs", it goes uphill via a steep but uncomplicated path.

A beautiful path. We walked it "the wrong way round" as recommended by others. That was very pleasant because it meant that the climb at the end of the tour was easy to manage via the stairs.
Hiking poles were helpful because the path was sometimes slippery due to the many small stones.
