Found this walk and wanted to try it as a nice, easy dog friendly route that wasnt to harsh on the knees. It definitely succeeded and one to try again 🥳

June 20, 2022,The Hermitage – Dale Abbey - Pioneer Meadows Nature Reserve - Walk

A change from my default woodland type walk, this time mostly out in the open. Down some very steep steps to the hermit's cave & the abbey "ruins" although it seems only one large, end window is left standing and that's been repaired. The very steep steps can be avoided by taking the lower route along the edge of the …
