It's best to park at the hikers' parking lot on the left after leaving Dollenstein. This is right at the start and saves you the long dirt road at the end. Unfortunately, many sections of the Jägersteig trail are not well-protected, and you sometimes have to climb or slide down the rocks on your bottom.
