Something like that is called "Schlatt" around here, and it's truly beautiful. Lots of greenery around, shady spots under trees, lamp cleaners... a lovely spot!

Wooden Bridge Over the Mittelradde

Small wooden bridge over the Mittelradde. Since the Mittelradde has its source not even a kilometer further north, it is quite narrow at this point.

Another beautiful Hümling path! The landscape is characterized by moorland and agriculture. On the way there are many places to rest and halfway you come to a place with several restaurants if you want to stop somewhere. However, we always have coffee and cake with us, so we are happy about the many places to take a break along the …

The Dosenmoor tour starts in Vrees in Emsland and leads through the Bockholter Dose nature reserve and the Vreeser meadows, among other places. Right on the side of the path there is a very beautiful moor nature trail that provides interesting information about the moor.

The start and end of our hike today were in Vrees, a truly beautiful village in the Hümmling, which rightly bears the designation "Golddorf" (Golden Village). 2/3 of the hike were just distance, but with its fields, wet biotopes, and forests, the varied character of this tour offers the opportunity to gather a multitude of different nature impressions. The hiking …

The canned moor tour can also be easily done from Bockholte. In a few places I didn't interpret the signs correctly or even overlooked them. But that wasn't a problem.
In any case, this tour is a very clear recommendation.

Very well signposted tour. The paths were mostly easy to walk on. Varied hike, as part goes through the forest, another through the moor. There is a lot to discover, we were able to observe deer up close, discovered rabbits, heard the cuckoo and a large number of butterflies crossed our path. It is advisable to take food with you …

Today we took advantage of the good weather conditions to explore the Hümmling once again.🎒🚶

Overall, a very nice route.👍

However, since our farmers are tending their fields at this time of year, good footwear is required.

The paths have suffered quite a bit due to the wet winter...

Coffee tip 😋

Today we hiked the Dosenmoor tour in the Hümmling Nature Park, not quite the original. I had saved the tour here on Komoot from someone and we then followed the saved route partly according to the signs and due to the changeable weather conditions. Apart from a small section near Bockholte, our tour then corresponded to the original route, which …
