Siebenbrunnen Fountain with Wooden Sculpture

Highlight • Natural Monument

On the way, which can be used well with prams, carts and similar companions, many children easily come to the place where the fairy tale of the giant Erla and the mermaid Blondchen is told. Fresh water quenches the thirst and a monumental statue from an old sequoia makes the story vivid. Whether this is the trunk of the redwood sequoia on the Esplanade in Gmunden, have we asked ourselves?

Lake Laudach

Highlight • Lake

Pure mountain idyll - glittering water, green meadows and beyond the rugged towering summit of Katzenstein. The cozy Gasthof Ramsauer Alm is located on a small hill above the lake. The inn is open every day from March to October and on weekends in winter when the weather is fine.

Lake Offensee

Highlight • Lake

The wild and romantic Offensee is in many ways the perfect place for a hiking break. There is a snack station directly on its bank that caters to hungry hikers (salzkammergut.at/oesterreich-gastronomie/detail/430000673/jausenstation-seeau-am-offensee.html=). In addition, the water offers a wonderful refreshment on hot summer days. And of course you can also eat your own provisions with this view.

Lion Monument on Lake Traunsee

Highlight • Monument

Always a nice place to rest and linger. There is now a table with two bankers under the old portal. The lion still looks threateningly towards Gmunden and guards the border between Ebensee and Gmunden. How many stories are there about this place with its monument...?
In 1963 the monument fell victim to a bomb attack and was reopened in 1964.

Tour only for advanced! Departure (25%) to Offensee. This part of the route has it all!! Caution!! Very steep gravel giant, and also the very narrow path to the beginning of the forest road is recommended as a pushing path !!

Showing Translation

After the harness saddle you have to push the bike to the Offensee.
It's rocky and steep.
