The Kirveslampi Nature Trail is an easy 1.7 kilometre circular route within Leivonmäki National Park. Its well-maintained duckboards lead hikers through varied terrain, culminating in a scenic observation tower offering panoramic views of the landscape. Hop off your bike and stretch your legs!

Directly at the lake is a refuge with a fireplace and toilet

Hitonhauta is the largest gorge in central Finland. You can find impressive cliffs, a waterfall, a small pond and some caves here. According to legend, this is the tomb of an evil spirit named Hitto, who lived here. Apparently, his petrified face can be seen on the rock face in the gorge.

Next to the pier for scheduled and excursion boats, there is also a marina for pleasure boats. You can also rent a boat or take a trip across the lake on a restaurant boat.

Explore the forested area around the idyllic lakes nestled into the landscape and let the little ones discover all sorts of interesting things. One of the best times to visit is in summer when the weather is mild and the blueberries ripe.

Fishing boats and private sailing boats are moored in Jyväskylä Marina. You can watch the hustle and bustle in the harbor from the shore path.

The "Kärkisten silta" is a total of 787 meters long, which takes you dry wheel over the Päijänne. An impressive construction in the middle of the breathtaking Finnish nature.
