The Uspenski Cathedral, which translates as “Assumption Cathedral,” is the largest Orthodox building in Western Europe, in a country that is mainly characterized by the Evangelical Lutheran faith.

At night and with outside lighting, the building looks like a landed UFO.

Definitely worth a visit. There are very tasty and, for a Central European, very unusual products. The cinnamon rolls are recommended.

The Oodi Central Library is a vibrant meeting place on Citizens' Square (Kansalaistori), right in the heart of Helsinki. It is one of the 37 branches of the Helsinki City Library and belongs to the Helmet library network. Oodi complements the Culture and Media Centre, which includes the Musiikkitalo concert hall, Finlandia Hall, Sanoma House, and the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. Oodi is a non-commercial public space, open to everyone, and is located directly opposite the Parliament Building.
