Great Cathedral

A large and very beautiful religious monument

Located on the promontory of the São Martinho do Porto bar, the chapel was built during the 12th century and is considered the oldest religious building in the municipality of Caldas da Rainha, having great sentimental and heritage value for the population of Salir.

The Santuário de Nossa da Nazaré is an important religious shrine in the picturesque coastal town of Nazaré. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many thousands of pilgrims come here each year. Of particular note is the nearly 1,000-year-old black statue of the Virgin Mary inside.

Covão dos Musaranhos. A very pleasant space next to the Óbidos Lagoon, it has a picnic area, barbecue and public toilets (unfortunately almost always closed). There is also a bar restaurant with a pleasant terrace (they do not serve dinner).
