In 2002, this vegetable garden was transformed into the Bloemenhof. The desire to create a beautiful place, a place that people consider good and valuable, a place that makes them happy, became a reality. Near the town center lies Geldrop Castle, surrounded by a beautiful English garden and flower garden. It was built in 1350 by Knight Philip I of Geldrop, about whom little is known. The castle had a keep, which must have suffered greatly during the Guelderian Wars, and documents from 1651 mention that it was "exploded by a buspoyer" during these wars. Around 1616, Amandus II of Horne therefore had a new house with stepped gables built. This new house formed the foundation of the current castle. Beautiful walking paths have been created through the gardens of the castle park, and there is also a petting zoo and a sensory garden. In the flower garden, which is full of blooming flowers in summer, there are various seating areas for guests to enjoy. Guided tours are organized at the castle, and exhibitions are regularly held. It is also an attractive wedding venue.

Construction of the present (moated) castle began around 1325. It served as a replacement for an older castle (known as 't Oude Huys), which stood a few hundred meters west of the present castle and from which the foundations of a stone keep and other objects were found during excavations in 1981.

Kasteel Beverbeek is a castle located northwest of Hamont in the Belgian province of Limburg. The castle is located at Beverbeek 19. The area was part of the goods of the lordship of Grevenbroek, and was sold on April 16, 1722. The part that was in Achel, is the current Beverbeekhoeve. The part in Hamont, with the so-called Nieuwe Hoeve, was sold separately. In 1875, however, it was purchased by Mathias Joannes Petrus Slegers, who had also purchased the domain of the Beverbeekhoeve the year before. This farm was demolished in 1878, but in the immediate vicinity of it, the current castle in Tudor style was built in 1889, designed by the architect Mathieu Christiaens for Joseph Slegers (°1837). He was a doctor of law and lawyer in Tongeren. He was married to Joséphine Schaetzen (Liège, °1849) the daughter of Willem Schaetzen and Hortense Verpoorten. This castle is a striking, high building with a bay window and flanked by a platform. The castle is situated in a park of 3 ha, designed in English landscape style, and equipped with a pond.
