Tongelaar Castle is a medieval castle complex that, in its current form, incorporates elements from various periods. The castle stands on a strategic elevation and is surrounded by water features and old farmstead structures that are part of the historic estate. It was first mentioned in the 14th century and has been renovated and fortified several times since then. The buildings, courtyard, and moats clearly reflect its former fortified function and later agricultural role within the estate. Today, the castle serves as a visitor center and restaurant, with views of the surrounding lanes and fields.

Well-preserved castle that can also be visited. There is also a café inside (unfortunately only inside), but there is also a bench on the lawn in front of the castle for taking a break. They also thought about enough parking spaces for bikes right at the entrance.

The Zwanenburg estate is located in the town of Heeswijk Dinther. In the Middle Ages, Dinther had six fortified houses and Zwanenburg is the only one that remains. The area within the canals is unfortunately not open to the public, but outside of it you can stroll around and take a good look at the estate from a distance.

An impressive ruin of one of the oldest castles in Gelderland. The ruin can be viewed with a guide. You can go hiking in the area. At the ruin are a duck decoy, mill and a beautiful floodplain.
