De Valkenhorst is an estate consisting of a varied forest area with a large heathland. The Spinsterberg traditionally belonged to the Valkenhorst and is the higher and slightly hilly part of the area. The Leenderbos is one of the first forests that was deliberately laid out in such a way that it would also become an attractive recreational area.
