Here you see the characteristic Scheveningen Water Tower, located in the dunes near Scheveningen (Pompstationsweg 327, The Hague)

The water tower is located in the Oostduinen dunes near Scheveningen, near Pompstationsweg. It is a national monument. Designed in the Eclectic style by architect Bert Brouwer and civil engineer Theodor Stang, it was built in 1874 by the Hague Dune Water Company.

Beautiful North Sea coast cycle path through the great dune landscape

It's beautiful here. You can cycle leisurely through the dunes, sometimes up and down, and the cycle path is nice and wide, so you don't get in each other's way. If you want to get to the sea or further into the dune landscape, there are plenty of rest areas where you can leave your bike and lock it up, allowing you to continue on footpaths. There's a good reason why you're not allowed to leave the paths. Both the landscape and the wild animals and farm animals (especially sheep) that live here should be left alone.

It's stunningly beautiful here—even in the cold and wind. You can spend the whole day here.
