The town hall, the Nieuwe Kerk and the statue of Hugo de Groot are striking here. Nice open square, but not really cozy .... It is too open for that.

Hoek van Holland is a coastal town in South Holland, located on the northern bank of the Nieuwe Waterweg where it reaches the North Sea. Hoek van Holland is a former sub-municipality of the municipality of Rotterdam, but is located approximately 25 kilometers west of the city of Rotterdam.

A beautiful forest with great hiking, running and cycling trails

We visited the great beach of Hoek van Holland during our Christmas holiday in the Netherlands. Hoek van Holland is a district of Rotterdam, but has retained the character of a small coastal town and seaside resort. It is located in South Holland at the main mouth of the Rhine into the North Sea.

Residence of the Dutch royal family. Surrounded by a beautiful forest in the middle of The Hague. Great for cycling or walking with the dog.

The Haagse Bos is a very beautiful piece of forest in The Hague. There are very extensive footpaths and cycle paths there and in the summer you can go on many lovely long walks in the shade. There is also a beautiful hunting lodge there, but unfortunately you cannot enter it.

A relatively large market square for such a small town. You can spend a good time there and admire the town hall, go shopping or visit one of the many cafés.
