The Falkenstein Cave is a small, exciting detour carved into the rock face, resembling a hidden window into nature. Inside, it's usually noticeably cooler, and the view out over the forest and slopes has an adventurous feel. At the Preinerwand Cross (1,783 m), you reach one of the most striking vantage points in the Rax. From here, the view extends far over the Vienna Basin, the surrounding valleys, and, on a clear day, all the way to the peaks of the Alps. An impressive spot that rewards the climb with an unforgettable panorama.

The Rax Plateau is a vast plateau at an altitude of approximately 1,500 to 2,000 meters. Green alpine meadows, karst landscapes, and impressive cliffs alternate here. Numerous trails offer magnificent views in all directions – an impressive piece of mountain scenery that makes the Rax so special.

Steep climb. In the lower section, mountain pines provide some shade and wind protection. In the upper section, there are more views from both sides of the ridge. At the top, you can branch off to the left to the Bismarcksteig (A/B) or the Predigtstuhl. Or continue to the Seehütte.
