A fairly steep but beautiful and worthwhile trail. The trail mostly runs at a slightly lower elevation between mountain pines, so it heats up quite quickly on sunny days. However, it offers some protection from strong winds. Most of the trail runs along a fairly wide ridge/saddle with little exposure.
Note: The map shows connecting trails between the trail and the Schlangenweg, but these do not exist, so you have to climb up to the Predigtstuhl to descend again on the Schlangenweg.

Steep climb. In the lower section, mountain pines provide some shade and wind protection. In the upper section, there are more views from both sides of the ridge. At the top, you can branch off to the left to the Bismarcksteig (A/B) or the Predigtstuhl. Or continue to the Seehütte.
