Villa Visconti Borromeo Arese Litta, known as Villa Litta di Lainate, was built in the sixteenth century by Pirro I Visconti Borromeo inspired by the Medici villas in Tuscany. It is certainly worth visiting the sixteenth-century buildings, the park and the nymphaeum. The latter boasts an astonishing array of statues, frescoes, mosaics, fountains and grotesques.
