Even from the beach of Castellammare di Stabia, a town with over 60,000 inhabitants in the province of Naples, you can easily observe the top of Vesuvius. The volcano is imposing and often characterizes the skyline of these areas.

Definitely not accessible by bike, at least not at this time of year. The path is completely overgrown, and even on foot it was barely passable. But the grotto is worth the effort!

If you're in the area, you'll naturally want to go up. But be careful - it's better to book your tickets online beforehand. This is hardly possible on site. Once you make it to the top, it's a great experience. The parking lot for off-road vehicles is located at this map point - from here you have to walk.

“Amelia's house”. The name was chosen to pay homage to the character of Neapolitan origin and to stimulate the imagination of children visiting the volcano. It is one of the abandoned casemates, located at 500m above sea level, and used during World War II as an anti-aircraft emplacement. The ruin was then renovated for tourism purposes.
