The harbor of Kühlungsborn is the maritime heart of this popular Baltic Sea resort and a meeting place for locals and holidaymakers alike. Located directly between the beach and the promenade, it accommodates numerous sailboats, motorboats, and yachts from all over Europe. Cozy restaurants, cafés, and bars surrounding the harbor—including the famous "Vielmeer"—invite you to linger and enjoy the waterfront. A unique atmosphere is created, especially in the evenings, when the sun slowly sinks into the sea and the lights of the boats reflect off the water. The harbor is also an ideal starting point for strolls along the promenade, bike rides along the coast, or boat trips. With its blend of maritime flair, modern comfort, and Baltic Sea romance, the harbor of Kühlungsborn is a place where vacation and joie de vivre perfectly combine.

The Kühlungsborn beach promenade is one of the longest and most beautiful on the German Baltic coast. It stretches approximately four kilometers along the fine sandy beach and connects the districts of Kühlungsborn East and Kühlungsborn West. As you stroll, a fresh sea breeze blows, seagulls circle above the waves, and the sound of the Baltic Sea accompanies every step.

Kühlungsborn Beach is a wide, fine sandy stretch of approximately six kilometers long and is considered one of the most attractive beaches on the Baltic Sea. It is divided into several sections, including Kühlungsborn East, Kühlungsborn West, and an area near Lake Rieden. There are also separate areas for dogs and nudists. The beach has been awarded the "Blue Flag," confirming its high water quality and environmental standards.

At almost 4 km long, the beach promenade of our Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn is the longest in all of Germany. It connects the two districts of Kühlungsborn West and East.

The Baltic Sea Border Tower in Kühlungsborn is a former watchtower of the Coastal Border Brigade of the GDR border troops. As a sea border observation tower (BT 11), it was one of a series of 27 towers of this type along the GDR coast, two of which have survived. The other surviving watchtower is located in Börgerende.
