Protective forest with 14 monumental larches, approximately 500 years old

In the layered stone pyramid there is a sign with the designation Saxe 2036 (Hm). The trail marker is located in the area called Saxe (Savoie).

Below the mountain path is this mighty and worth seeing chunk of ice through which the glacier stream has carved its way.

According to the wooden sign on the gable, the alpine pasture is located at an altitude of 2047 m. The alpine pasture is not abandoned and is at least inhabited from time to time. A Fiat Panda is parked near the house.
