Coming from the direction of Sulingen, it's rather unusual to cross such a large river/canal. So I stopped and lingered briefly on the footpath and took a nice photo with the dusk in the background.

The local history society holds regular show and baking days during the summer months. The outdoor area is open at all times. Couples can get married at the Harrienstedt Watermill and enjoy the wonderful ambiance of the surrounding grounds, including the reservoirs and alder swamp forest, with their guests.
