The lake landscape near Hävern is a beautiful nature reserve in the natural area of the Wesertal between the districts of Hävern and Großenheerse in the town of Petershagen. The area extends over 104 hectares and is part of the EC bird sanctuary "Weseraue". The former gravel ponds are now biotopes for water birds and offer a picturesque backdrop for walks and exploration.

The bathing area was used for the first time in the 2009 bathing season. The approximately 6 hectare quarry pond is a body of water and is located northeast of the Glissen district of the municipality of Raddestorf on the left side of the Weser.
