Beautiful hiking area. Rightly a national park!

Definitely worth seeing, but you have to view it from the viewing platform.

The route here runs over a narrow path (a kind of dike) between two larger ponds. This is an idyllic path to walk through. The dike is overgrown with bushes and trees on both sides, but in several places you can look through to the water. Ideal for watching the numerous water birds.

This lookout tower stands like a true work of art in the middle of nature with clear references to this historic place, the Vossenberg fortress. Belfort de Vossenberg has a simple but robust shape, inspired by the casemates, a kind of bunker, of which there are still some in the immediate vicinity. The raised foundation of the tower also refers to this piece of war history. The short sides are covered with wood. The long sides are open, giving you a beautiful view of the four platforms that this 22-meter-high tower has. At the very top, a phenomenal view of De Groote Peel awaits you. (Uitkijktorens.nl)

The starting point for a walk through this nature reserve. There are all kinds of facilities (cafeteria, toilet, shop, etc.) Very interesting is the information desk. There you can get information about walking in the Grote Peel and possible restrictions on the paths. Very friendly staff!
