The Mühlensee near Vehlefanz is an artificial lake. It was dammed in 1979 to irrigate the area for agriculture. Today it is part of the Nauen-Brieselang-Krämer nature reserve. There are many walkers and hikers out and about, and you share the path with them, and not just at weekends.
