I think it's really great that there are still small private breweries like this and that delicious beer is brewed here. I like drinking beer and also like trying new and unknown types of beer. I would have liked to buy something here, but I was on a long tour and didn't have room for a few beers. It's a shame. But postponed is not cancelled. I might order online sometime when it's working smoothly again. The Gotthilf brewery, founded in 2014, brews hand-crafted, naturally cloudy beers in beautiful Holstein. This is intended to create a counterbalance to industrially produced beers, which are characterized by an increasing tendency towards uniform taste. The Bornhöveder See is located on the western border of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park, north of Bornhöved. It is 71 hectares in size and up to 14.3 meters deep. It is part of the Bornhöveder lake chain, which consists of a total of 6 lakes and is also part of the Wankendorfer lake district. The Bornhöveder See is connected to the adjacent Schmalensee by a branch canal about 100m long. The old Schwentine flows through the lake and ultimately flows into the Kiel Fjord. True, it's nice for swimming, but unfortunately it's in a shady spot. So it's probably more of a dog-bathing spot.

Private fish farmers run a fish farm here, and the fish can be purchased fresh or smoked on site.
